Tips & Tricks
- Use piping bags to fill the croustades more easily and neatly.
- Prepare the filling and fill it just before serving to keep it crisper for longer.
- Don’t fill too many at once; instead, save some of the filling and make more if needed.
- If you’re making croustades with a hot filling (e.g. Västerbotten pie), always start by heating the oven to the desired temperature.
- Store the croustades in a dry and dark place.
- Taste is subjective, try new flavor combinations and find your favorites.
